In the role of Curriculum and Resource Developer for the Resource Room membership, you would have the opportunity to be part of building Australia's only teacher resource site 100% committed to structured and explicit teaching of literacy. But the Resource Room is not just about the 'stuff'. We also support our members through personalised site tours and support sessions for schools, our forum, regular live mastermind sessions and live Teach Along courses. You'll have the chance to contribute to those too.
We are offering a 12 month starting contract with the start date to be negotiated depending on current employment commitments. We appreciate that currently employed applicants will not be able to start until 2024.

We are looking for someone with
- A primary teaching degree and experience working as a classroom teacher in a primary setting
- A strong knowledge of the Australian or relevant state curriculum
- The proven capacity to teach using structured literacy resources and explicit instruction practices
- Excellent attention to detail
- A high level of written and oral communication skill
- Demonstrated capacity to work within a team to achieve common goals
- Strong capacity to use a range of digital tools
- Knowledge of the science of reading and the science of learning who is eager to learn more
Desired:
-Experience in using Jocelyn Seamer Education tools and resources.
Working under the direction of and closely with the Jocelyn Seamer Education team, the successful candidate will:
- Create resources and units of work according to Jocelyn Seamer Education guidelines and requirements
- Provide administrative support. For example, responding to email enquiries
- Support in the maintenance of the Resource Room membership site (training will be provided)
- Provide support to members through the Resource Room through a variety of formats
- Participate in collaborative planning with the Jocelyn Seamer Education Team
- Suggest and develop resources to expand the Resource Room offering
